Hello everyone. It has been some 24 years since I have made a UO Server. Ultima Online has come a long way, with tons of changes. Some good, many bad. I have taken Athlore back to the roots. Back to 1999 - 2001 Era with a 2.0.0.c Client. Back when the game was simple, fun and challenging.
This is a work in progress, much like the Original Darklands of Athlore. As did the original, it will be pretty straight forward. Kill mobs for Exp and Treasure. Kill players for glory.
Leveling will raise your base stats only (Max Hit points, Mana and Stamina). The gain will be based on your current STR/DEX and INT respectively.
Magery: Reagents will be required for casting, but not be lost on fail, as well as casting with a weapon on and moving. There currently is only regular magic.
Skills: Will be capped at 100.0 Until you hit level 20 and Combat stats can be raised 110.00 and at level 30 they can be raised up till 125.0 in Combat and Crafting skills. The rate of skill gain will be fast on Athlore.
Armor: All the Original Darklands of Athlore colors will be in the game and craft able.
Weapons: All the Original Darklands of Athlore Colored Weapons will be in the game and craft able.
Misc:
ItemID will be required on "Glowing" items to be able to gain the bonus of magic it has. Low ItemID may misidentify an item causing it to be cursed. Once a cursed item is equipped, it will take a special NPC to remove it.
Anatomy Skill can be used to determine a level of a monster, as well as a player.
